Are you passionate about helping young people with disabilities achieve their ambitions in life?

Come and be part of our exciting, new Life Coach team, and help to support young people with additional needs and their families to prepare for adulthood.  We are committed to reforming how we work with young people to ensure transition is a positive experience, that takes place throughout childhood, laying foundations for living a valued and purposeful life.

Preparing young people with additional needs for adulthood is a key priority and our aspiration is to ensure transition is built on the Deal for Adult Social Care and Health foundations and its principles are demonstrated in practice.  Our new Preparing for Adulthood Life Coach team will focus on supporting the resilience and independence of young people, which will help to ensure they reach their goals and aspirations.

During the past year Wigan Council, Adult Social Care have pioneered different ways of working. Service models have been transformed through developing social care support, rooted in local communities, centred on interests, assets and talents.
