Well, enough to convince a toddler that you like their ‘cooking’. Can you laugh at unfunny jokes, sing out of tune, turn into a pirate on demand and do you love children? That’s the request of youngsters at five Salford nurseries who have helped write job descriptions for new staff.
If you can answer yes or I’ll have a go to any of those, we want to hear from you!
We’re looking for warm, friendly, qualified people to work in our five fantastic local authority nurseries.
We have permanent and temporary roles available with a range of hours but you’ll need to be available to work shifts between 8am and 6pm on a rota and at any one of our nurseries in Barton Moss, Belvedere, Higher Broughton, Little Hulton and Winton.
You’ll need a relevant early years/childcare/social care or teaching qualification at minimum level 2, but from day one we’ll help you develop professionally, including an immediate opportunity to gain a level 3 qualification in Early Years Education. We also provide generous holidays, and a job like no-other where you will feel special, loved and important to many young children and their families.
You need to be resilient, hardworking and a good team player who can build positive relationships with children and families from a wide range of backgrounds and encourage children’s development to reach their full potential.
The Early Years Educators’ roles pay up to £20,493 (full time salary, 36 hours per week) and are subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
