The aim of the finance team is to ensure that the council manages its resources effectively. We do that through being an innovator, business partner, steward and a provider of technical financial expertise.

 We currently have four vacancies within the team to strengthen our capacity to deliver our key organisational priorities.

  • Commercial finance manager

Working up to 36 hours per week with salary up to £45,958

  • Accountants x2

Working up to 36 hours per week with salary up to £32,910. One of these roles is permanent, one on a fixed term contract to August 2022

  • Senior accountant, capital

Working up to 36 hours per week with salary up to £39,880

Commercial finance manager  

This role will lead a small team of accountants overseeing the financial management and monitoring of the Property, Housing and Regeneration services.

Accountant  (one permanenet, one fixed term)

These roles will sit on our Place accountancy team, providing revenue and capital financial management support to a defined service area.

Senior accountant, capital  

This role will sit on our corporate accountancy team. You will coordinate the development of our capital programme and capital strategy and advise on technical capital and asset accounting matters.
