With miles and miles of county lanes, unspoilt villages, valleys and national trails Yorkshire is also the perfect place for both short strolls or long distance hikes in stunning scenery.

Heritage and History

If you love history then Yorkshire is the place for you! You will find six National Museums including The National Science and Media Museum in Bradford and The National Railway Museum in York which will keep all the family entertained for hours.

In Yorkshire you can also explore castles and ruins including the magnificent Whitby Abbey which hide a wealth of history and wander through magnificent world heritage sites for a sense of how people led their lives hundreds of years ago!
