An opportunity has arisen for an Qualified Social Worker To join the specialist Autism team in Blackpool.

This Team has been functioning for the past 3 years and there is now a need to increase both qualified and unqualified staff in order to meet the increasing demands in Blackpool.

This is a growing team which will be made up of 5 qualified social workers, 1 case Assessor and 4 support workers.

There is a requirement to be able to work closely with your team colleagues but also with other agencies including Police, Probation, care providers, health colleagues and other services/teams within Blackpool Council.

There will be support and training for the successful candidate.

This is a permanent full time post.

The post holder will work with adults Identified as Autistic. The team assess autistic adults' need under the Care Act 2014 eligibility criteria and provide support through our team of specialist support workers, as well as commissioning support with care providers.

The team also assesses the needs and of, and provides support to, families and informal carers of autistic adults.

Experience of working with Autistic adults is desirable but not essential as a full induction will be provided and the team works in a collective and supportive manner.

Some knowledge of the CTR process/transforming care agenda is essential. There will be opportunities to gain experience of these for the successful candidate.
