Are you looking for a truly rewarding and meaningful role where you can really make a difference?
If you are over 21, have a spare room and are passionate about working with children and helping them develop, fostering could be the ideal role for you. Some of the benefits of fostering for Bolton Council include:

- Fostering local children and helping to keep them in their schools and close to existing support systems;
- A self-employed role offering generous tax benefits.

- Competitive allowances and benefits, discount cards and free leisure centre access amongst other benefits;
- A comprehensive ongoing training programme delivered by professionals;
- Highly experienced local support and a dedicated social worker;
- A network of friendly foster carers to further support you in your role;
- A role where you can truly make a difference to a child’s life.

At Bolton Council we are actively recruiting foster carers who can care for children and young people aged between 0 - 18 years old who require both short term and long term fostering placements.

We are looking for local foster carers from all backgrounds, who can look after a diverse range of children and young people. There are many different types of foster care, from short-term and long-term to respite care, we can help you find out which would suit you best.

We need carers for younger children, teenagers and sibling groups and welcome applications from those who have experience with children, either through having your own children, caring for the children of friends and family, or maybe you have worked with children before, or even have been in the care system yourself.

If you can help provide stability to children in unsettling times, we would like to speak with you.

We provide our foster carers with an excellent training, support and financial package, and will help guide them through the assessment process and work with them as a team to ensure the needs of the foster carer and the child are met.

If you think you could make a difference, chat to our friendly team today on 0800 107 1564 or email fostering@bolton.gov.uk and we will get back to you within 2 working days. Visit www.bolton.gov.uk/fostering
