The Department of Corporate Core Services provides all the professional enabling functions for the Council and CCG delivery. This includes the Human Resources function, with the aim of delivering organisation-wide support services consistently, efficiently and by furthering best practice.
The Human Resources service is a relatively newly formed team, coming together in the latter part of 2019 and now embarking upon an improvement journey.
The HR service supports and works in partnership with managers across the Council to manage the workforce effectively and to tackle the operational and change management challenges they face with confidence, in addition to driving down service running costs and identifying opportunities for savings.
We aim to be a service which has integrity and a consistent approach, but also creative and proactive in finding ways forward which are legally compliant and manage risk effectively.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team for a fixed term period of 12 months:
HR Business Partner Level 3 - Grade 11 (£16,117 - £16,891).
As a holder of a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management or equivalent qualification, you will have significant experience of working within a busy HR office environment.
With a sound level of understanding of pay and conditions for schools-based employees, you will have experience of advising managers and/or employees on HR issues at any level, with particular experience of dealing with complex situations where outcomes may not be straightforward.
The hours of work are 18.50 per week, worked on Wednesday afternoon and all day on Thursday and Friday, in accordance with service requirements.
