We have an excellent opportunity for a driven Qualified Accountant to support the business through a significant period of change. As well as our more traditional transport construction projects and programmes, such as Metrolink, transport interchanges, rail stations, highways and bus priority, we are now delivering a range of emerging priorities from easing congestion, addressing air quality and encouraging more people to cycle and walk. Overall this level of investment is likely to exceed over £1 billion over the next few years.

We are seeking individuals who have experience of working on projects to join our Finance team to contribute to the achievement of delivering our challenging and emerging strategic priorities. You will support the delivery of the Growth Deal programme which secured £350 million of funding from central Government to deliver a number of initiatives such as interchanges Metrolink Improvements and Highway schemes. One of the projects that this role will be supporting is the exciting new Stockport Interchange development incorporating residential, a park and podium.

You will have experience of capital and/or revenue project financial management and experience of working with integrated Management Information Systems. You will also be a qualified accountant and will have worked with both finance and non-finance stakeholders.

You will have strong communication skills and the ability to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders using a variety of forms of communication including presenting information to a range of financial and non-financial audiences.
