Kingsland School (Secondary) are seeking to appoint up to three appropriately qualified Pastoral Workers. The suitable candidates will be passionate about improving the life chances of vulnerable  pupils. Kingsland School is a Pupil Referral unit which caters for pupils with medical /psychological problems as well as  pupils who have been excluded or are at risk of permanent exclusion from secondary education.

Many of our pupils are vulnerable and have complex needs. We work with parents, carers and a range of agencies and stakeholders to achieve the best possible outcomes for them. Effective partnerships with secondary schools and academies are critical to achieving improved progress for our pupils.
The successful candidates must therefore be highly motivated and possess the ability to raise the aspirations of all our pupils. The successful candidates must also have a flexible approach and have the ability to work with pupils/groups in KS3 and KS4.

Due to split site arrangements, the successful candidates must be willing and able to travel between sites as required. They must also carry out home/school visitis and travel flexibly across the Borough for which they will need an appropriately insured vehicle.

The successful candidates will work alongside a committed and supportive staff team.
