Salford Social Care Providers

Be a Care Hero in Salford

Pease note: the employer for these roles is not Salford City Council but independent care providers throughout Salford.

Hours, location and salary will be determined by the individual care provider.

During this time of great uncertainty, we need to look after the most vulnerable people in our communities.

Many require support with their every-day tasks to ensure they are able to lead the quality of life they deserve.

Independent Adult Social Care organisations across Salford urgently need more kind, caring and compassionate people to join our care heroes in supporting those that need it most. You don’t need any previous experience working in adult social care - training will be provided.

Are you able to talk to and listen to people to understand what they need and ensure the best possible outcomes for them?

Do you have great communication skills, patience and enjoy working with other people?

Residential Care
You will be helping residents with practical tasks like washing, dressing, going to the toilet and having a meal. You’ll get to know each resident and provide them with friendship, familiarity, emotional support and company, making sure each individual is well cared for and has their needs met. Working in a care home can feel like a small community, or a large family.

Home Care
You will visit people in their own homes, to help them with practical tasks like washing, dressing, going to the toilet and having a meal. While you’re helping the person with their every-day tasks, you’ll have a chance to chat and build a relationship. This is an important part of the job as it makes the care you give more personal.

Supported Living
You will be supporting people with learning disabilities or with mental health problems. You may be providing support to three, four or five housemates. As well as helping with shopping, cooking and cleaning, you’ll be making sure individuals are safe and well - that could be healthy eating, encouraging exercise and joining in community activities. Part of your rota may be staying overnight.

Our Adult Social Care services are continuing to operate 24/7 through the hard work and dedication of our amazing care heroes. They are demonstrating the Spirit of Salford every day by caring for some of our most vulnerable residents. Now, we’d like to invite you to become one of our care heroes.

Independent Care Providers in Salford are looking for people to urgently fill a variety of care roles including:

Care Assistants to really make a difference to vulnerable peoples’ lives by supporting them with everyday tasks that they now struggle to do without some help. You could be helping at mealtimes, supporting people to wash, take a bath, get dressed or helping people to take their medication. You could also be organising individual and group activities for people and supporting them to take part.

Cooks and Kitchen Assistants to help prepare, cook and serve meals to people usually in a care home.

Domestic Roles – Cleaners
to help ensure that the care home or house is safe, tidy and clean.

Some of these posts will need a DBS check which will be arranged, but if you already have one please indicate this on your application.

Your application will be fast-tracked to get you in position and working as soon as possible, and will be sent to independent adult social care providers who need staff in the area for which you have applied.

Interviews will be conducted via TELEPHONE or SKYPE/FACETIME.
