Your role
 
This is an exciting opportunity to join a team of Information Governance professionals who strive to facilitate information sharing across the organisation whilst maintaining high standards of governance. This is a varied role which includes working with Council services along with partner organisations including schools and the Health and Social Care sector. You will help to oversee the fulfilment of Information Rights requests, advise on general queries, Data Protection Impact Assessments and Sharing and Processing Agreements. You will deliver training to officers and provide supervision to junior members of the team.
 
About you
 
You will be a self-motivated and enthusiastic individual who is able to demonstrate both experience of working in this field and a working knowledge of the relevant legislation. You will be a confident and effective communicator and have experience of supervising and developing junior members of the team.
 
About us
 
The Information Governance team is responsible for the coordination and delivery of the council’s statutory responsibilities under various information management laws and best practices. We work across all council services and council partners providing expert advice and guidance under the leadership of the council’s statutory Data Protection Officer (DPO) and Information Governance Team Manager.
