About You

We are looking for an exceptional Head of HR Operations to lead the direction and delivery of a sustainable, high quality, cost effective and business responsive HR Service that includes a team of HR Business Partners, Recruitment Services and a Workforce hub that works in partnership with our HR Shared Service.

You will lead a team of HR Business Partners to foster effective client relationships with existing customers, maximise new business development opportunities and partner with Service Heads to enhance and develop the HR offer.

Continually measuring HR service delivery outputs and utilising business intelligence to support smart deployment of HR resources and areas of priority, you will ensure that customer satisfaction is achieved across all client areas.

You will role model our values and empower decision making for line managers by coaching them to develop their competence, confidence and technical knowledge when dealing with employee issues.
You will have significant up to date knowledge of employment legislation, exceptional stakeholder management and an ability to analyse complex issues, adopting a creative approach to problem solving in sometimes challenging circumstances and with competing priorities.

You should be CIPD qualified or have an equivalent relevant qualification and/or substantial experience of working in a HR discipline. You will be comfortable with both the operational and strategic leadership elements of the role and will be a key member of the People Directorate Management Team.
