Chester Cathedral is another great example of Cheshire's and is many things to different people including a vibrant community of worship, an ancient abbey, an archaeological treasure, a cultural hub and a centre of musical excellence. The cafe is also a lovely place to indulge in a delicious traditional afternoon tea and enjoy with family and friends.

Shopping

When it comes to shopping, you’re definitely in the right county. The market towns of Alderley Edge, Wilmslow, and Knutsford are crammed with beautiful boutiques, antique shops, furniture stores, inspirational garden centres, exclusive jewellery designers, department stores and temptingly delicious bars, restaurants and coffee shops.

Cheshire really is enough to satisfy the appetites of even the hardiest of shopaholics. Charming Nantwich is renowned for its historical charm with medieval market streets offering unusual and interesting shops, a well-stocked farmers’ market, and perfectly preserved Tudor buildings.
