You will be asked to register and create an account when you first apply for a job.
Once registered, you will be able to use this account to apply for vacancies at the following councils: Bolton, Bury, Greater Manchester Combined Authority/Greater Manchester Fire & Rescue Service, Oldham, Rochdale, Salford, Stockport, Tameside, Trafford and Wigan.
Because of how the sites are structured, you will need to create a separate account to apply for vacancies with Manchester City Council but you can use the same username and password for both.
You will need to create a separate account to apply for jobs with Blackpool Council.
Select 'Job Alerts' from the menu. Enter your name, email address and alert criteria and select register. You will receive an email asking you to verify your details, and your alert will be set up. You can set up as many job alerts as you like, so you will be notified via email, when a job that meets your requirements is advertised.
The majority of jobs on this website allow you to apply online and so a job pack is not required. If the post does not allow you to apply online, there will be a link to an application form or the employer’s website to find the application form. If you need further assistance, contact details for each employer should be available within the advert text.
The closing date for each vacancy is shown on each job advert. As long as your form is submitted by that date, you can take as long as you wish to complete the form.
Any applications that are made online are submitted straight into the employer’s recruitment system which also allows you to track the progress of your application. If the application is not online, you can find information about returning application forms in the advert or in the application pack.
On greater.jobs you will find vacancies advertised by a range of organisations. To request feedback following submission of an application form, or an interview you have attended, you will need to contact the employer who has advertised the position directly.
Employers should always include contact details within their advertisements. If you cannot find these within the advertisement, please visit the employers website to find out how you can get in touch with them.
If you are employed by one of the greater.jobs collaboration employers, you can find internal vacancies here:
