Salary: £15,807 - £16,491 per annum, pro rata (plus living wage supplement where applicable)
Fylde Council is a progressive Local Authority located on the Lancashire coast and is a major tourism destination attracting around 3 million visitors per annum, with a wide range of leisure assets and sporting initiatives across the Borough throughout the year.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a leisure attendant to work within the Council’s Tourism and Cultural Services team, to be a key point of contact for sports clubs and to assist with the planning and delivery of a wide range of events. A good understanding of a wide range of sports and healthy activities and a flexible approach is essential.
Reporting to the Sports and Health Development Officer, you will be undertaking a wide range of duties from formal inspections of leisure facilities to general maintenance and housekeeping duties. You will be required to work with a wide range of tools and machinery, provide first aid cover and work in partnership with other services including parks, coastal rangers, arts officers and tourism.
The successful candidate should ideally have previous experience in a similar role, be conscious of the strict health and safety environment in which they are working and be able to work to tight deadlines. You will be reliable, self-motivated, able to work with a minimum of supervision to include weekend work according to the needs of the service, be courteous to customers and a good team player.
