Your Role

As the Senior Track and Civils Engineer within Transport for Greater Manchester you will join our Engineering team working across the engineering life cycle.  You will lead a small team that are responsible for overseeing our maintenance partner, managing the development of our asset strategies for Metrolink, specifying renewals, and reviewing designs to ensure enhancements to the tramway are safe and meet our requirements.

About You

You will have significant experience in the track and civil engineering disciplines associated with heavy or light railways.  You will be educated to degree level or equivalent and have experience in the delivery of engineering projects in the light or heavy rail industries together with demonstrable experience managing technical interfaces with other engineering disciplines.  You will also have the ability to influence and negotiate with suppliers and contractors to achieve the best results and have considerable experience in a rail-related environment.

  • A salary of £64,132 - £72,181 per annum depending on experience
