Team:             ICE/Stores & Independent Living Service

Hours:            2 x 37 per week

Grade:            C SCP 4 £23,114 to SCP 6 £23,893

Contract:        Permanent

The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced administrator to join the ‘Bolton Family’ and be part of our team supporting the Independent Living Service and Integrated Community Equipment Stores

You will work closely with Managers, Health Professionals and Assessment Officers and link with other members of the Administrative team.  Working with partner agencies to create an environment where multi-agency practice is strong.  You will join a committed team who are proud of the service they deliver to achieve their potential.

The administrator is key to ensuring the smooth running of services and the role is exciting and varied.  The main duties are set out below:

·         Providing an effective and efficient administrative service

·         Delivering an efficient front-line service for customers

·         Dealing with queries from professionals and/or the public or signpost to relevant teams.

·         Co-ordinating the distribution of mail, including monitoring, ordering, receiving, sorting and distributing specified goods and services.

·         Contribution to the scheduling, organising and co-ordinating of activities, resources and events including travel, accommodation and meeting venues.

·         Receipting, recording, monitoring and making of payments in line with the policies, procedures and guidelines.

·         Arranging, setting up and attending meetings and events, including taking notes as and when required

·         Supporting and maintaining the use of information systems

Summary of Role

About You

You will have experience of working in an administrative capacity and/or in an office environment and can demonstrate effective communication skills, in order to present information both verbally and in writing.

You will have the ability to work as part of a team and under your own supervision.

You should be able to demonstrate effective organisational skills, with the ability to plan, develop and prioritise your work.

You must possess excellent literacy skills to ensure correct information is collated and processed using computer software packages such as Word, Excel and Outlook.

You must have the ability to produce accurate, well-presented documents.

You must demonstrable the ability to handle cash, be able to record and monitor payments in line with financial procedures.

Applicants must have the ability to arrange and, where necessary, attend meetings to take notes.
