The Role

Job Description

As a Senior Playworker you will coordinate, lead and manage a mobile Play team that will provide play activities within the community from Monday 24th June – “5th August 2024. You need to be able to manage a staff team and you will be reporting to the Play and Youth Managers.

You will be responsible for running your own mobile play sessions, leading a team of playworkers to deliver day to day activities in a safe, fun environment catering for and meeting the children’s needs, during the school holidays and in line with Ofsted standards.

Your role will include planning and providing activities for children and young people in line with the Ofsted EYFS Statutory Framework. You will also be required to ensure all records of staff details and supervisions are kept up to date.

About You

We are looking for enthusiastic Play workers who can work as part of a team and be responsible for providing safe, fun, high quality childcare /play sessions.

For the Senior role, you must have at least 2 years’ experience, skills, and knowledge of working with Children and Young People aged 4-12 years and staff management.

An NVQ Level 3 qualification in childcare or broadly relevant equivalent qualification is desirable but not essential.

Driving will also be essential to this role.
