JOB TITLE:        Cover Manager

SCHOOL:             Smithills School

WORKING PATTERN: 35 hours per week, term time only + 2 Inset Days (September)

                                      7.00am -2.30pm  ( ½ hour unpaid lunch break)

CONTRACT TYPE:       Permanent

SALARY:                      Grade F scp 17 - 23  £28,770 - £32,076 Per Annum PRO RATA

 Actual salary       £22,964 – £25,603

CLOSING DATE:          9.00am on Friday 10th May 2024

INTERVIEW DATE:      W/C 20th May 2024

           

The Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and suitably qualified candidate to be responsible for staff cover arrangements (including the monitoring of all staff absence ) and rooming for the school.  You will liaise with external supply staff agencies to co-ordinate external supply, managing a large supply/cover budget, minimising cost yet maintaining appropriate cover and standards of teaching within school.  The role will require you to liaise with Senior Leaders to plan events/update the whole school calendar ensuring there are no clashes of staffing, rooming, resources and there is minimal impact on pupils.  You will record and maintain all absence / training records via the management information systems.

About You

You will have experience of development, management and operation of administrative     systems, strong numeracy/literacy skills and good organising, planning and prioritising skills.

You will have the ability to act quickly and decisively under pressure and time constraints and be able to communicate clearly and concisely.
