Grade D Scp 6 £23,893 to Scp 11 £25,979, plus car user allowance

Fixed Term Contract until 31st March 2025

The is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious and enthusiastic candidate to develop skills in the supervision and management of staff. The role of Area Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of the cleaning teams in approximately 20 primary schools and 12 outer buildings including libraries, children centres and offices.

The day-to-day tasks include checking the standard of cleaning in the sites, liaising with customers, staff training, and the planning and mobilisation of the mobile cleaning teams to cover absences.

This is a fixed-term post until 31st March 2025 as the service is going through a period of change and requires time to review future staffing requirements and service structure.

About You:

You should possess good communication and interpersonal skills and have the confidence to support staff and delegate work. You will have an understanding of Health and Safety and have previous experience in cleaning and the use of industrial cleaning equipment. 

This post has been designated an essential car user post; therefore, you must hold a full and valid driving licence, and a vehicle with a valid MOT certificate.

Previous management or supervisory experience would be ideal. However, mentoring and training with be provided to support a candidate who is looking for the next step in their career and is willing to learn.
