Youth Support Worker level 1
Salary: JNC L1 £3,175 to £3,219 per annum
Post status: Fixed term 5 hours per week
We are seeking enthusiastic level one youth support workers to support Bury Youth Service with its work with young people in Bury. We have a number of 5 hour posts which could include work with youth groups or detached work meeting young people on the streets or on public transport networks. You would work 2 sessions per week with evening and possibly some occasional weekend work. You will be part of a staff team working within the Early Help division with responsibility for ‘Youth’, using the principles and practices of informal education and community development to make positive changes in the lives of young people. Level one youth support workers will always be supporting a qualified level 2 worker and are not expected to take any responsibility for planning sessions.
