We are looking for an exemplary practitioner, who demonstrates drive and passion for high quality education, to join our dedicated Key Stage 1 team.
We are looking to appoint a full time Key Stage 1 Teacher for the start of the Autumn Term (2nd September 2024). This position is for maternity cover until July 2025, however there is a possibility that this will be extended.
This role is being offered from M1- M6 on the Main teacher pay scale, dependent upon experience. 
 
 
 
 
 
The postholder must maintain the positive ethos and core values of the school, both inside and outside the classroom;
 
- Have high expectations of themselves and the children they work with
- Demonstrate excellent teaching pedagogy consistently
- Be determined to achieve high standards and progress for all children by monitoring progress and development
- Recognise children as individuals and build positive relationships with them, being ideally placed to notice when something seems wrong
- Consider the needs of individual learners and adapt pedagogy to meet need
- Have a strong understanding of the Key Stage 1 curriculum and Phonics
- Build and maintain a positive classroom environment, which offers a safe base for each pupil
- Demonstrate high standards of behaviour whilst guiding children positively to reflect on their choices, through a restorative approach
- Have an understanding of children's developmental stages to encourage academic progress
- Know how to use developmental stages to provide further emotional support for pupils
- Build positive relationships with parents through effective communication skills and day-today interactions
- Understand and recognise the importance of continuous provision within a Key Stage 1 classroom
- Is enthusiastic and committed in the use of the outdoor classroom as a tool for teaching and learning
- Encourage children to learn and develop their autonomy and independent skills through planned activities
- Understands the importance of working collaboratively and can work effectively with support staff to build a strong and consistent team within the classroom
