Our School:
Kingsland School is a split site provision catering for pupils aged 11 – 16.
Our Broadbent Road site is a Pupil Referral Unit which offers Day 6 provision for those pupils who have been permanently excluded from an Oldham Secondary School or Academy. Our second site, known as Laurel Bank currently hosts our Specialist Learning Centre and is based in Shaw, Oldham. This provision is for pupils experiencing social, emotional or mental health and medical needs which creates a barrier to their attendance at school. This site also hosts our unique provision catering for pupils from the SLC with an Educational Health Care Plan.
Role Overview:
We are seeking to appoint a diligent, proactive and experienced Safeguarding Officer to join our team who will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our pupils.

The successful candidate will assist the DSL in all matters relating to safeguarding and child protection across the school and by addressing safeguarding concerns effectively and proactively as per the school policy.

We are looking for someone who is able to promote positive values, attitudes, good pupil behaviour who is able to manage challenging behaviour, conflicts and incidents whilst encouraging pupils to take responsibility for their own behaviour and promoting self-control.
