Position Title: Highways Operative x6

Location: Block C, Hooper St, Ardwick, M12 6LA (Field/Community Based) 
Salary Range: Grade 5 £23,023 to £25,927 (Bar at £24,920) per annum
Working Hours: 35- 08:00 to 15:30 Monday to Friday
Contract Type: Full Time Permanent 
Qualification: Yes- a minimum CSCS (Construction Skills Certificate Scheme) card, skilled worker or provisional.

The role holder will contribute towards the provision of a safe, sustainable, well maintained highway network, which benefits the residents, visitors and businesses within the authority.

The role holder will be an effective member of a team responsible for the provision of high quality, cost effective Highway Maintenance and Highway Construction activities.

The role holder will work collaboratively with other service areas, partner agencies, sub contractors and external parties to ensure the delivery of a high quality, cost effective service.

This role is predominately field/community based. You would spend most of your time working in the wider community. Your role may involve client meetings, visits, project work and reports. You’ll mainly be working where the service users are, not where the ‘office’ is, but you will have workspace available for when you need it.
