The Governing Board of Brownhill Learning Community is seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant Level 2+ The Brownhill Learning Community is a federation of Brownhill Special School and the Pupil Referral Service who work together to provide education provision for school aged learners with social, emotional and mental health needs who are out of the mainstream environment. There are 4 sites across Rochdale and learners are placed according to their needs. Our aim is to identify and meet individual learning needs through a nurturing environment. We are looking for candidates that are dynamic, inspirational and can motivate children with significant challenges. We welcome applications from experienced staff with a commitment to changing the life chances of our Learners. The role of a Teaching Assistant Level 2+ at BLC is to support learners in a classroom setting so that they can access their learning. Experience of working with learners of all ages from primary to secondary will be an advantage Experience of Team Teach and SEMH/PRU preferred. The post holders may be required to transport pupils using their own vehicle. The successful candidates will be required to commence in post in as soon as possible.
