Early Years Educator Apprentice
Grade: Apprentice £15,410 rising to £16,893 after 12 months
Working Hours: 36 hours per week
Contract Type: Fixed term for 21 months
Did you know that Salford City Council has 5 Nurseries across the city, they are all great places to work and are all highly rated by OFSTED. The nurseries are Barton Moss Nursery, Belvedere Nursery, Higher Broughton Nursery, Little Hulton Nursery and Winton Nursery. Each setting opens between 8am and 6pm Monday to Friday and you will be expected to work a shift within these hours. The nurseries are open all year round.
There is now an exciting opportunity to be a part of this fantastic team whilst being supported in gaining a recognised qualification through an Apprenticeship in Early Years Education and Paediatric First Aid.

Our Early Years Educators work in nurseries across Salford and provide 0-5’s with the care, kindness and understanding that will play an important part in the development of the cities children.
As part of a team you will work with colleagues and managers to provide high quality care, whilst using your skills in communication, to ensure consistent support for the children that attend the nursery.
As part of the apprenticeship you will be required to hold a level 2 qualification in Maths and English, or be able to work towards this alongside the Early Years Education apprenticeship.

You will receive a full and comprehensive induction across all our sites along with access to the Starting Life Well training programme through which you will be supported to achieve a Paediatric First Aid Qualification within three months of starting with us.
