We are a unique and vibrant setting with less than 500 pupils – a college with a small school feel. Our size allows us to build strong relationships with our students, enabling them to become confident and successful young people with strong aspirations for their futures. Students join us at year 9 where we set the foundations and instil a passion for the subject before moving onto KS4 content in Year 10 & 11. We benefit from collaborative planning and all our schemes are fully resourced. We are a department that promotes a love of learning as the foundation of everything we do. There is a ‘buzz’ about learning in our building and as a department, we pride ourselves on being well-resourced with centralised planning being the key to our success and well-being as a team. In addition, we have adopted a minimal marking policy and focus on high-quality verbal feedback and academic monitoring which enables our students to make rapid progress whilst minimising teacher workload.

We are looking forward to reading letters of applications from experienced and newly qualified teachers.
