Supported Lodgings

 

 

Do you want to help a young care leaver achieve their potential?

Salford’s Supported Lodgings scheme is looking for Salford residents who can provide care leavers aged 16 – 21 with a room of their own. Providing a room would be the first crucial stepping stone in supporting this young care leaver to living independently. 

Supporting this young person would involve encouraging their independence, this could include, cooking, cleaning, washing and staying safe and healthy. This support would enable the young person to develop their skills, and then move on to living independently.

We will provide regular support for you and the young person during their stay with you. 

As a Supported Lodger you will just be providing a safe and supporting space for this young person within your household, you will not be expected to provide guardianship.
