Salary: Salary Grade: Teachers pay and conditions document plus the appropriate TLR2 payment

Working Pattern: Full Time

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an exceptional and motivated candidate to join our caring and forward thinking school on its exciting journey. Outwood Primary School is looking to appoint an excellent EYFS practitioner to join our team. This is a unique time to join our school and play an instrumental role in the strategic development of a new vision for EYFS provision helping to ensure that educational journey for the pupils of Outwood gets off to a flying start!

This role also comes with a TLR with a strategic focus on the continual improvement of teaching and learning in the EYFS and across the school. As such, the successful candidate will work as part of the senior leadership team to drive whole school improvement, ensuring standards are raised through the development of high quality teaching and learning and innovative practice, ensuring that the foundations built within EYFS continue throughout the school.

The successful applicant will need to be able to show evidence that they possess the skills and attributes to inspire all pupils and ensure outstanding outcomes, continually improving their own practice in order to enable every child to be the best that they can be. The successful person will also need to demonstrate that they are committed to their own professional learning and seek to continually improve and grow as a practitioner, learning from local and national partners.

As a strategic leader, the successful candidate will be able to lead by example in the classroom, modelling best practice and playing a key role in developing research-informed pedagogy so that our EYFS provision is continually improving. The successful person will have an excellent understanding of how to lead others and is deeply driven about the business of learning for both pupils and adults.

We are looking for a committed, talented and inspirational teacher and leader who:

·         has a proven record of excellent classroom practice within EYFS, including the ability to critically reflect and evaluate their own teaching

·         has high expectations for all pupils in their care as well as a strong understanding of formative assessment and how this is used to adapt teaching

·         understands how children learn effectively

·         is able to monitor, evaluate and further develop the quality of teaching and learning across the school based on principles of effective learning in EYFS

·         has a strong understanding of the importance of environment and provision in enabling learning

·         can actively contribute to the strategic development of the school

·         is able to inspire, motivate and engage all members of the school community

·         is excited by research and innovation and committed to the ongoing professional development of both themselves and others

·         is a strong communicator who desires to build excellent relationships with all stakeholders

·         is supportive of the ethos of the school
