Your Role 
 
This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of Stockport Council and how it interacts with its residents through neighbourhood engagement and the built environment. The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership of the Council’s Development and Investment Estate with focus on developing the assets held in the portfolio and delivering excellent outcomes for our stakeholders. 
 
The estate covers a wide range of assets including Stockport Exchange, Merseyway Shopping centre and Aurora Industrial Estate.
 
This will include the development and execution of asset plans, development of capital schemes and management of external consultants supporting the investment estate.
 
You will form part of the leadership group of the Estates and Asset Management team within the Place Directorate who are responsible for the councils land and property assets and capital delivery program
 
About You
 
You will be an ambitious property professional looking to take the career to the next stage. Our ideal candidate is a self-motivated individual with focus on problem solving who is keen to embrace the challenge of driving forward our estate with a key customer focus.
 
You will be capable of manging a complex set of priorities and working hard to deliver the best possible outcomes whilst managing our resources and ensuring Stockport has a safe and compliant estate.

As a service we are responsible for the Councils land and property assets and the delivery of major capital projects. We are a diverse team of property professionals of all levels who are focused on delivering exceptional results for the Borough and our stakeholders.
 
We work closely with the wider Place directorate and the wider council colleagues beyond. Our role is to act as key enablers to support the Councils priorities and support the One Stockport Plan.
