St Matthew’s CofE Primary School is a vibrant and highly ambitious two form entry school located in Chadderton, Oldham. The school has a strong and clear vision and is now embarking on an exciting new phase in its development which we would love you to be a part of! If you are an Early Career Teacher, you will be supported through the ECT framework with in-school Induction Tutoring and Mentoring alongside development and quality assurance through the East Manchester Teaching Hub.

If you are a main pay scale teacher, you will be supported through robust, meaningful professional development, coaching and new opportunities provided within the school’s appraisal system.

You will:

• Have the potential to quickly become an excellent class teacher in our setting with a very good understanding of how children learn.
• Understand the importance of using assessment for learning to raise standards and improve pupil achievement.
• Understand how to bring learning to life and be committed to developing and sustaining engagement in learning strategies
• Contribute to the hardworking, dedicated and caring ethos of the school and build positive relations with children, colleagues, parents and governors.
• A DBS Disclosure at enhanced level will be requested for the successful candidate, who will also need to demonstrate an excellent understanding of current child protection and safeguarding requirements.
