We are looking to recruit a class teacher for 1st September 2024.

We would like candidates for this role to be passionate about teaching and learning, demonstrate a commitment to inclusion and have the experience to adapt provision and respond to every child’s needs. Successful candidates will be expected to be effective communicators, solution focused and collaborate with a range of stakeholders and partners.

It is essential that candidates have a good sense of humour, the skills to work in a team and have a desire to deliver learning that is engaging and fun for all children. Our collective goal is to ensure that every child in our school reaches their full potential.

As a school we will support new staff members through our rigorous induction programme, provide many opportunities for continuing professional development and will support you in pursuing individual passions through our successful approaches to wellbeing.

In our most recent Ofsted report, it was reported that, “Teachers value the support that the school provides to develop their subject-specific knowledge and curriculum expertise, and to reduce unnecessary workload.”

Successful candidates will have the opportunity to work with children who enjoy their learning and want to do well. Children who are well behaved and treat each other with kindness and respect.

We look forward to welcoming applications from candidates who are able to demonstrate they meet the criteria in the job description and personal specification.

To apply for this position please download the application form and supporting documentation and send completed applications to applications@broadfield.rochdale.sch.uk by 12noon on Monday 20th May 2024.

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

Appointment to this post is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring and background check

The ability to converse at ease with customers and service users and provide advice in accurate spoken English is an essential requirement of this post.

Applicants are advised that by applying for this position they are declaring that they are not subject to any immigration controls or restrictions that prohibit them undertaking work in the UK, and that they are able to provide proof of their Right to Work in the UK if they are invited to attend an interview.

The school will carry out an online search as part of their due-diligence for all shortlisted candidates in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education 2023.

This is a temporary contract pending a restructure and will end on 31st August 2025.
