Salary: Grade E. Scale 11 – £12,979 to Scale 16 - £14,141 (actual salary)
 
Hours: 18 hours per week
 
Base Location: Tameside One, Market Place, Ashton-Under-Lyne, OL6 6BH

The Employment and Skills Team at Tameside are recruiting a part time Project Officer to support with our work to increase Supported Internships, this is an exciting opportunity for someone who is looking to work on projects that help people get into employment. You will work with a wide range of people on different projects at the same time developing and delivering the employment and skills agenda in the Borough. We also hold several high profile public events throughout the year working with schools, businesses, councillors and many different partners.
 
Your job will be to provide administration support to the delivery of the SEND (Special Education Needs & Disabilities) employer forum and a SEND conference, which will support the increase of Supported Internships to move young people from SEND education provision into employment.  You will be busy but it’s a great chance to learn about local government work; you will be able to increase your skills fast. We have a strong track record of development and progression within our team.

We need people who are flexible, willing to help, self-disciplined and are prepared to work hard. You will have a good education, be an excellent communicator, efficient, organised, and able to juggle competing demands.

Hours can be agreed to suit, within Monday-Friday 8am-6pm office hours.
